A quick tête-à-tête with Nepali art historian Dr. Dina Bangdel, with Alok Thapa

DR DINA BANGDEL, daughter of the renowned Nepali artist Lain Singh Bangdel, is one of the very few art historians whose specialty is Nepali art. Bangdel, the director of the Art History Program at Virginia Commonwealth University, Qatar, is respected in art communities here and abroad for her wealth of knowledge. She has lived abroad for long stretches of time, but she plans to return for good to Nepal—from where she has never felt disconnected—to create an art hub for artists, cultural personalities and youth.
